The Country of War is ruled by the ruthless and merciless God of War - Sek-Duat in the desert country of Ah'maru. They got the reputation as the Country of War not only from their god but because from their numerous count of civil wars. Because of the country's bare lands and few accessible resources, cities have been warring with each other for the ownership of each other's lands. Ores, metals, weaponry, and armory is the country's top industry, creating the strongest and brutal weapons feared by all with the land's abundant minerals. 

Ah'maru is also the land of ruins, with pyramids and structures of ancient civilization found everywhere. Magic runes, records, texts, artifacts, and gold have been discovered. Many other more are speculated. 

The country prides itself on its belief over Power - only the winners of war can deserve power. Living in a constant war for power has transformed its people to be aggressive and ruthless as their god. 

With centuries of war as experience, the god of war trained and raised the most ruthless, merciless, and strongest army in the world. They are known for their brute physical strength to fight in the war and conquer other countries. They participate in the war to expand their territory and declare power over others.

Economy

  • Currency: Astra

  • Resources: Ore, Ingots, Weapons, Armors, Runes, Artifacts, Ice
    The country lacks moisture and rich soil to grow their own produce, but the country is abundant of caves rich with mineral deposits.
    Ice comes from the Icy area of the country.

Religion

  • Worships God of War - Sek-Duat

    • Sek-Duat does not show her face.​

  • Values: 

    • The people are very religious.

    • The Sun is the symbol of the God.

    • The War is the God's trial to her people.

    • Please the God of War, and victory shall be assured. 

    • Only the strong deserves treasures, and only victory defines the strong.

    • The weak and the losers deserve nothing but slavery.

  • Has religious practices: ​

    • Prays to Sek-Duat every noon when the sun's at its peek.

    • Offer plentiful food / jewelry for blessings and protection against the god's wrath

    • Music and Dancing pleases their god

    • The deceased are mummified​

    • Respect war and give your all to the art of war.

Magic & Technology

  • The country is abundant of Fire and Earth element. Those who were born here are born with affinity with Fire and Earth.

  • The country is also abudant with Ice element only at the icy north. Those who were born there are born with strong affinity with Ice. 

  • Country dislikes technology and are very traditional. They write in stone and tablets, and send messages in bottles. Though, their weaponries are top-quality among other nations.

Executive

  • System of Government: Monarchy / Pharaoh 

    • The Pharoah (of any gender) is appointed by their god.

    • The Pharoah n has advisors considered as Priests appointed by the Pharoah themselves.

    • The priests head the religion in the country

  • Ah'maru has the largest military in the world. ​

    • They are responsible for representing Ah'maru in war, and maintaining Law and Justice within the country. ​

    • The military is trained by the god herself. 

    • Children who are unemployed by the age of 16 are required to join the Military. ​

    • Adults who remain unemployed remain in the Military, or are turned into slaves.

  • Punishment for any crime caught is slavery, ife imprisonment​ or  execution.

  • Only the King can create the law without the need for their god's approval.

  • Their god does not appear to common folk, only to the Pharaoh in their dreams.

Topography

  • The Country is the largest continent in the world. The country has a variety of dry terrains from canyons, wastelands, to volcanoes, and vast dunes. 

  • The weather in the country is mostly sunny. Rain is a rare occurrence.

  • The country has one long river running across the entire country that each city depends on for a source of water. This river has been fought over by centuries.

  • Ruins are scattered around the country covered in sand. Speculated to have more ruins hidden within the sand.

  • Cities: 

    • Alnaar - Capital of the country

      • Located at the center of the nation 

      • Surrounded by tall brick walls. Houses are made from brick and stone. Streets are hardened sand.

      • At the center of the city is the Temple of Sek-Duat, and also considered a castle for the royalty

      • The army inhibits the capital and other occupations that are beneficial to the army.

    • Dhahab - The Icy city

      • Located north of the country, in the icy area. It is mostly of ice, snow and Tundras. 

      • Contains mostly ice and snow. In summer, they have longer days and in winter, have longer nights. 

      • At night, Aurora lights decorate the city.

    • Lamie - Mining city​

      • Located south of the country, surrounded by canyons and dry mountains that are abundant with minerals and ore deposits.​

      • The city also has richer areas due to the volcanoes around. Farms are built in this city.

      • The city also has active volcanoes surrounding it.

    • Ahjia - Ruin central​

      • Located east of the country. ​

      • Most known for the number of ruins surrounding the city.​

    • Other cities exist ​but gets the name of the current ruler of the city as a trophy of past and current wars. Each city has its of specialty. Farming cities exist but the harvest is rarely good.

Inhabitants

  • Citizens: Humans, Beastfolks, Drakyns. 

  • Drakyns are a minority in the country, and are most often smuggled in and/or traded off. Most of them are enlisted into the military.

  • Twin Dragons reside within Temple of Sek-Duat. They are the protectors Alnaar. Listens only to the King and the god.

  • Wild Animals are a common occurrence within cities

  • Monsters are a common occurrence in the wild. Most monsters dwell in the sand, and sky.

  • Most ruins, especially magical ones, have stronger monsters. 

Culture

  • Fashion: Loose, Bejeweled, Lacey (Egyptian / Aztec) [Pinterest Board]

  • Languages - Hierogylphs (Native), Aravan (Arabic), and Common Tongue​

  • Education

    • Due to on-going war, no educational system was ever formed. It was up to the children to find their own resources for learning. Most children learn from scholars that have travelled to Ah'maru for the ruins.

  • Values​

    • They value war, victory and power over anything else. They never run away from a fight. 

    • Most Ah'maru are tough, aggressive, and ruthless.

    • Dislike new technologies and new systems

    • Despite their aggressive nature, aside from the people's skill for complex weaponry, Ah'maru people have learned to make beautiful and intricate jewelry, beautiful architecture, beautiful dances, music and arts, all as a result to please their God of War. 

Society

  • Social classes defined by lineage and occupation. 

  • There are only three social classes: Royalty > Warriors > Peasants. 

    • Royalty - consist of the relative of the royal family, and closest friends

    • Warrior - consist of the soldiers of the country

    • Peasants - consist of the common folk.

    • Slaves - consist of the unemployed, and those who lose in war and lose everything.

  • Slavery exists and is legal in the country. ​

  • Crime rate in the country is very high due to limited resources, and on-going wars internally and externally. Thieves are a common thing in each city.​

A large structure in center of the capital of the country where citizens go to pray and worship for their ruling God. Offerings are held in this establishment as well.

The royal family also lives in the Temple.

One ruin that stands out the most is the Great Red Ruins. 

It is the largest, most mysterious ruins, and most dangerous  in the world. Most of the runes the country uses were found in this ruin. The ruin goes deep up to 1000 km under ground. Each floor having monsters and traps.

The country has a vast desert that are not to be underestimated. Aside from the harsh climate, monsters as large as dragons roam the desert always hungry for prey. 

Despite the danger, the citizens also play by the sands bravely through sand surfing and ruin exploring.
